Sepsis: improving recognition and management 2017

12th October 2017, London

Full programme coming soon!

Sepsis: improving recognition and management is a one day conference that will examine the challenges of identifying those at risk and provide practical advice on immediate management.

Sepsis is a significant cause of death and disability in the Uk. According to the UK Sepsis Trust, 44,000 people are estimated to die of sepsis every year.

Current evidence-based guidelines emphasise the need for good inital assessment and immediate treatment, but in busy hospital departments, these protocols are not always followed.

Who should attend?

Sepsis: improving recognition and management will be of particular interest to the following:

  • Specialists in sepsis and infectious disease
  • Critical care specialists
  • Intensive care specialists
  • Acute medicine physicians
  • Emergency medicine physicians
  • General physicians
  • GPs
  • Commissioning leads and managers
  • Nurse specialists
  • All trainees in these disciplines
